Responsible Gambling
Our Commitment
At CELESTIA, we are committed to promoting responsible gambling and providing a safe, secure, and supportive environment for all our players. We believe that gambling should be an enjoyable form of entertainment, not a way to make money or escape from problems.
We want you to enjoy your gaming experience, but we also want to ensure that you stay in control of your gambling habits. This page provides information about responsible gambling and the tools we offer to help you maintain control.
Understanding Problem Gambling
Problem gambling (also known as gambling addiction or compulsive gambling) is a behavior that causes disruptions in any major area of life: psychological, physical, social, or vocational.
Problem gambling includes all gambling behavior patterns that compromise, disrupt or damage personal, family, or vocational pursuits.
Warning Signs
Here are some common signs that gambling may be becoming a problem:
- Spending more time or money on gambling than you can afford
- Finding it difficult to stop or control your gambling
- Lying to family members or others about your gambling activities
- Gambling to escape problems or relieve feelings of helplessness, guilt, anxiety or depression
- Borrowing money or selling possessions to fund gambling
- Neglecting work, school, family, personal needs or household responsibilities because of gambling
- Thinking obsessively about gambling and becoming restless or irritable when trying to cut down
- Chasing losses by continuing to gamble to try to recoup money you've lost
- Risking significant relationships, jobs, educational or career opportunities because of gambling
- Needing to gamble with increasing amounts of money to get the same feeling of excitement
If you recognize any of these signs in your own behavior, we encourage you to use the responsible gambling tools we provide and seek professional help.
Responsible Gambling Tools
We offer various tools to help you stay in control of your gambling:
Deposit Limits
Set daily, weekly, or monthly deposit limits to control how much money you can deposit into your account within a specified time period. Once you reach your limit, you won't be able to deposit more money until the time period has elapsed.
You can decrease your deposit limit at any time, and the change will take effect immediately. If you wish to increase your deposit limit, the change will only take effect after a 24-hour cooling-off period.
To set or adjust your deposit limits, go to your Account Settings > Responsible Gambling > Deposit Limits.
Loss Limits
Set limits on how much you can lose within a day, week, or month. Once you reach your loss limit, you won't be able to place any more bets until the time period has elapsed.
To set or adjust your loss limits, go to your Account Settings > Responsible Gambling > Loss Limits.
Session Time Limits
Set limits on how long you can play in a single session. You'll receive a notification when you're approaching your time limit, and once you reach the limit, you'll be automatically logged out.
To set or adjust your session time limits, go to your Account Settings > Responsible Gambling > Session Time Limits.
Reality Checks
Receive periodic notifications about how long you've been playing. These notifications will display the time elapsed and your net wins or losses during the session.
To enable or adjust your reality checks, go to your Account Settings > Responsible Gambling > Reality Checks.
Account History and Activity
Review your gambling activity, including deposits, withdrawals, bets placed, and game results. This can help you maintain awareness of your gambling habits and spending.
To view your account history, go to your Account Settings > Account History.
Self-Exclusion and Time-Out Options
If you feel that you need to take a break from gambling, we offer several options:
Time-Out (Temporary Break)
You can take a short break from gambling by setting a time-out period of 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, or up to 6 weeks. During this period, you won't be able to log in to your account or place any bets.
To set a time-out, go to your Account Settings > Responsible Gambling > Time-Out.
Self-Exclusion
If you're concerned about your gambling habits, you can self-exclude from our platform for a period of 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, or 5 years. During the self-exclusion period, you won't be able to access your account or open a new account.
Self-exclusion is a serious step and cannot be reversed until the selected period has elapsed. We will take reasonable steps to detect and close any new accounts you may try to open during your self-exclusion period.
To self-exclude, go to your Account Settings > Responsible Gambling > Self-Exclusion.
Permanent Account Closure
If you wish to close your account permanently, you can do so at any time. This action is irreversible, and you won't be able to reopen your account.
To permanently close your account, go to your Account Settings > Close Account.
Keeping Gambling Safe and Fun
Here are some guidelines to help you maintain a healthy relationship with gambling:
- Gambling is entertainment, not a way to make money. Don't gamble with money you can't afford to lose.
- Set a money limit and time limit in advance. When you reach your limit, stop playing.
- Don't chase your losses. Acceptance is the key — walk away when your set money limit is reached.
- Don't gamble when you're upset, stressed, or depressed. Decision-making ability is compromised when emotions are extreme.
- Balance gambling with other activities. When gambling becomes your only form of entertainment, it's time to step back and evaluate.
- Don't take credit cards or ATM cards with you when you gamble, if possible.
- Take frequent breaks. Gambling continuously can cause you to lose track of time and perspective.
- Don't mix gambling with alcohol or drugs. These substances can affect your judgment and lead to making risky decisions.
- Don't view gambling as a source of income. Focus on the entertainment aspect, not winning money.
- Learn about the games you're playing to make informed decisions. Understanding the odds can help you maintain realistic expectations.
